Dr. Davis grew up in Jacksonville, Florida. He joined the Navy and then went to Georgia Southern University and graduated with a Bachelors of Science in Biology. Dr. Davis received his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine Degree from Auburn University, School of Veterinary Medicine. He joined the Army Veterinary Corp during veterinary school where he served another two years. After graduation, Dr. Davis built his first veterinary hospital. He has worked with large and small animals and has worked in private practice, emergency medicine, academics, corporate practice and also as a relief veterinarian over the past 30 years. Before opening Animal Hospital at the Crossing, he was an adjunct professor and ran the Community Practice at the University of Illinois, School of Veterinary Medicine.
Dr. Davis opened Animal Hospital at the Crossing in 2004. His wide range of experience and his passion for learning, and a little bit of ADHD has helped him turn this practice into a growing success. Dr. Davis has many skills, but really enjoys surgery, ultrasound, and reproduction.
When Dr. Davis is not busy at Animal Hospital at the Crossing, he enjoys playing golf, boating, photography, reading and spending time with his family. Dr. Davis and his wife, Mindy, have four children, Melissa, Kaleena, Keegan, Kameron. He has a houseful of pets, two Labs: Kona and Baga; three cats: Bahama, Sparky and Butter; and one guinea pig named Sammy.
