Cristen Oxford, DVM

Dr. Cristen Oxford grew up in Benton, Illinois, and obtained a Bachelor’s degree in Animal Science from Murray State University in 2021. She fulfilled her lifelong dream of becoming a veterinarian in 2025, graduating with her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from the University of Illinois. Dr. Oxford has always been drawn to veterinary medicine by her love of animals (large and small) and her passion for serving others. She loves interacting with clients and values her relationships within the community. Her special interests include surgery, client education, ultrasonography, and veterinary business/management.

Dr. Oxford enjoys spending time with her amazing husband, Derek, and precious retriever mixed-breed dog, Archie. Outside of the clinic, she may be found hiking or camping in nearby state parks or far-away national parks, attending a concert, hosting a game night with friends, browsing local antique stores, rooting for Fighting Illini sports, or serving at her local church in Urbana.
