Justina Koehler, DVM

Dr. Justina Koehler received her Bachelor's degree in Animal Science from the University of Illinois at Champaign-Urbana in 2012 and her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from the University of Illinois College of Veterinary Medicine in 2016. After graduating from vet school, she began practicing veterinary medicine in Morris, IL before returning to her hometown of Peru, IL to work and then ultimately moving back to Champaign to be with her now husband, Alex. She has spent the last 3 years working as a small animal practitioner in Champaign County prior to joining the AHATC family. Dr. Koehler takes pride in her passion for veterinary medicine and for providing compassionate, exemplary care for her patients.

In her free time, Dr. Koehler loves taking care of her goats (Mr. Pickles and Sprout), dogs (Doogan and Huck), and chickens. She also enjoys reading, baking, gardening, and doing most anything outdoors. Once a month, she volunteers at the Livingston County Humane Society, helping adoptable pets in need.

Dr. Koehler is currently serving on the Champaign County Humane Society Board and is a member of the Rotary Club of Champaign.
