Tegan Stoerger, DVM

Born and raised in Decatur, Illinois, Dr. Tegan Stoerger graduated from the University of Illinois at Champaign-Urbana with a Bachelor's degree in Animal Sciences in 2006. She continued her education at her alma mater and graduated from the University of Illinois College of Veterinary Medicine in May 2010. Her special interests include preventative care/wellness, internal medicine, dentistry, and surgery. Dr. Stoerger has been with AHATC since graduating and looks forward to building strong, long-lasting relationships with her clinets in and around the Champaign-Urbana community.
Dr. Stoerger resides in Champaign with her husband, Garrett, daughter, Nora, and son, Nolan. She has a love for dachshunds and enjoys spending time with their three mini-dachshunds: Oliver (14 years), Lola (5 years), and Rusty (5 years). Since childhood, Dr. Stoerger has strived to become a veterinarian, maintaining her own “zoo” consisting of dogs, cats, birds, hamsters, rabbits, fish, and hedgehogs. In her free time, Dr. Stoerger enjoys spending time with family and friends, traveling, being a “foodie,” and working out.
